(junior) Backend Software Developer
What will you be doing?
As a Backend Software Developer at Coosto you will be working on our product: a SaaS application that allows our clients to make daily decisions based on social media data. You will join one of our multidisciplinary Scrum teams, responsible for one of the domains of Coosto: Webcare, Publishing or Listen. Together with your team you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of our product, both development and operations.
You will develop new services and help to convert existing solutions into smaller, independent (micro) services. These new micro services can be developed in PHP, Typescript or Go. We have our standards as to performance, security, scalability and high availability, and of course you do too. You’ll be able to explore new technologies and share your insights with your team. You will be working with a modern CI/CD pipeline and with at least several of the following technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis.
Wij zijn op zoek naar een kandidaat die graag hoog schaalbare backend applicaties wil ontwikkelen en die de voorliefde en motivatie heeft om aan een eersteklas product te bouwen. PHP was onze meest voorkomende taal, daar ga je dus zeker mee werken. Echter, voor de meeste nieuwe services worden andere talen gebruikt, dus aarzel niet om te bespreken met je team welke oplossing jij denkt dat het beste werkt. Verder:
- Heb je een relevant bachelor- of masterdiploma in de richting van Informatica of Computer Science;
- Heb je kennis van software ontwikkeling en architectuur;
- Heb je al enige ervaring opgedaan door middel van stages, een studentenbaan en/of persoonlijke projecten;
- Heb je kennis van, en bij voorkeur ervaring met, in ieder geval een aantal van de volgende technologieën: JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), PHP, Go, MySQL, MongoDB;
- Is het een pre als je ervaring hebt met frontend technieken;
- Ben je communicatief sterk en is je Engels uitstekend;
- Houd je ervan om te leren, hard te werken en lol te maken;
- Ben je absoluut een teamspeler.
