What are you going to do?
The location of this position is (largely) at our office in Eindhoven or Alicante!
At Coosto we strive to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of our software delivery. And we believe test automation is key in this. We organize ourselves in autonomous software development teams that work towards a microservices architecture. This allows teams to work in parallel and deliver value faster to our customers. Besides software development, the teams have the responsibility for running their own code in production.
For one of those teams we are looking for an Agile QA Engineer who will support rapid feedback cycles to ensure quality while maintaining a fast delivery cycle.
You are a member of a team that works on several independent modules of Coosto, and you work closely with your Product Owner. The other team members are front-end and back-end developers and together you deliver new and improved end-to-end functionality for the modules the team is responsible for.. Some of the technologies we work with are NodeJS, Typescript, PHP, Go, MongoDB, MySQL and Elasticsearch. For test automation we make use of tooling like Postman and Cucumber and frameworks like webdriver.io.
As a QA engineer, you set the standard for the quality of the work that is released by the team.
Your focus is on defining the right test cases and on advising what should be tested where and how. We believe in everything-as-code, and you make sure the right automated tests are in place to ensure the quality of existing and new functionality. This ranges from API tests, to integration tests, to full end-to-end tests. And can cover both functional and non-functional requirements.
The ideal match
- You have a bachelor or master degree in the area of Computer Science or equivalent;
- You have a strong affinity with testing;
- You are an analytical thinker with an eye for detail;
- You love to learn new things;
- You are no stranger to writing clean code;
- You have excellent communication skills and you are not afraid to ask questions or to express your opinion;
- Experience with testing frameworks and tooling is a plus;
- Work experience with testing in an Agile team is a big plus;
- You have excellent written and spoken skills in English.
